They tell you to brake a little early and take the turns slower than you have to, but ultimately they have no control over the car. The driver in the passenger seat wasn't too helpful to me, but I can see it being helpful to someone who doesn't know the track. Also, all the cars available were automatic. We did three (3) laps on a shortened version of the track consecutively. It was at a track that I've raced at multiple times previously, so I knew the track well. I've done it through a prior employer, so I'm not sure about insurance or cost.
